Don’t Miss This: AGL Lookbook!
There is always a shoe I don't order for the store that I subsequently see on AGL's website and pine over all season, wondering why I missed ordering it for the store and wishing they would just pull from their factory inventory and let me have it. Last year it was the Sveva thong. I know it seems simple, and it is simple, but I also knew it would be comfortable, and I would wear it all the time. I have a closet full of shoes, but there are those few pairs every season that I wear constantly. This year it will be the Sveva thong - especially since I ordered it for the store in five colors and got three of them for myself. Clearly, I believe in this shoe, and I was not going to miss out on it two years in a row. We also just unpacked them for the trunk show this weekend, just in time for anyone headed out on a resort vacation. It will be the only shoe you need.
But this trunk show isn't just the Sveva thong; we have been unpacking box after box of AGL. If you asked me what shoe brand we carry that best represents The Shoe Hive, it would be AGL. We were the first account in the entire United States of America to carry this now-widely-coveted brand, and everything the company represents is something in which we believe. It is family-owned and female-owned, which clearly is what we are all about. The shoes are made by hand in a small factory in the Le Marche region on the Adriatic side of Italy. I have visited and have seen the care they put into each pair. They use the best Italian leathers. I also can tell you that their designs are not like anyone else's. They don't look to what others are doing - they have their own vision and execute it season after season. Others try to replicate them, but you just can't.
Sad to say, we won't have Brianne from AGL at the trunk show this year; she moved on, and they just hired a new rep, so maybe next year we will have someone for questions and answers. One year I think we need the AGL sisters! Dare to dream, right?
