Fight For The Brain Event Featuring A Stylebook Shopping Spree
It's finally here! The 6th Annual Fight for the Brain is being held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, to raise critical funds for the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), an organization dedicated to conquering and curing brain tumors. Over the past six years, the event has raised almost $100,000 and is now the 5th largest community fundraiser for NBTS in the USA.
This event is held annually in honor of Amin Ramadan, my husband's father, who suffered from a meningioma (non-cancerous brain tumor) for many years prior to his passing in 2016. He was a vibrant, funny, kind, generous, and loving person, but the impact of the tumor made his final years extremely difficult for him and very painful for our family. This event is in his memory as we want to do whatever we can to ensure that other families may not have to deal with the pain caused by this terrible ailment.
The event usually takes place in May, but we pushed it back this year, hoping we could actually get a few people together. So, this year will be a hybrid event, held in person at Circa at Clarendon, and also virtually for those who cannot attend or are not local. The event will be packed with fun, food and drink specials, our annual raffle for local restaurant gift cards, and for the first time, we will be hosting a silent auction with amazing items (like a Stylebook Shopping Spree!).
