Five Reasons Why You Should Be Investing More On Wellness

I often marvel at how little people want to spend on their wellness, yet how much they will spend on other lifestyle activities. While, yes, our services are more than a big-box gym or a large class company, there is value in spending more on a holistic program centered on creating lasting change for greater health and wellness.  

1.  You’re putting more money toward the “fix” than the “solution.”

Are you spending more on your health insurance than you are on your wellness? Are you spending more on the “fix” rather than investing in the prevention of illness? As a country, we spend a whopping 95 percent of our health care costs on medical illnesses, while we spend a mere five percent on our wellness, a preventative measure for potential illness or injury. A holistic approach to wellness can go a long way in preventing visits to the doctor. We don’t seem to question the cost of a top-notch physician, so why do we hesitate when shopping for a stress or sleep management program?

So, when it comes time for you to think through what you want from your wellness, start first with what you value most, what brings you joy, and what makes you feel the best in your body and mind.
