Here Comes Fall At The Shoe Hive

Despite the pandemic, last year everyone still wanted new clothes, but shoes seemed to be a different story. And look, I get it - we weren't going anywhere for our shoes to be seen. Now we are all out a little more but not quite back to "normal" as we had hoped. I think all of this interruption of normalcy may mean our shoe wardrobes maybe a little changed forever. Many of us will wonder why we ever walked around with shoes that made our feet hurt.

I think our fall selection represents just that. Lots of great sneakers that we all know won't ever go out of style - flats in every shape and color, especially loafers, which have always been a favorite of mine. I tried to make sure we covered all the basics - so you'd find what you need if it was time for a refresh or maybe find that flat that you have never seen but just have to have.

Boots are a bit more casual this year - the Post from Marion Parke is my favorite. It has the perfect length and the perfect heel height. I am probably going to need both colors. As I flipped through the lookbook, I also realized I was clearly preparing for a very wintery winter. Lots of cold weather options.

Of course, I had to get a few heels. Look for more great heels from Rupert Sanderson later this year with a holiday order, but I just could not pass up the chance to add some beautiful heels.

Of course, we bulked up on Roam slides and Mou Mou boots and slippers, which were everyone's favorites last winter. No matter what, we all want to be comfortable and cozy in the winter months.

Let us know if you want to be notified when any of the shoes come in, and keep on the lookout for our annual Marion Parke event as well.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
