When we started planning our Spring Trunk Show series, we wanted more perfect pairings like we had last year with Ann Mashburn and Lizzie Fortunato. I mean two is always better than one, right? When I was in Manhattan and met Hunter Belle for the first time we started chatting about doing an event. Somehow Hart Haggerty came up and how they know each other from some events in Charleston, and she filled me in on how their fashion paths had crossed, and we thought, why don’t we do an event in Alexandria with the two of them together?
Hart and Hunter do really make the perfect pairing. They both have that southern charm, style, and warmth that make them great people and a great duo for an event. Okay, so the designers themselves won’t be here this time. But they have great people from their teams who are bringing great pieces for us for this weekend and you will see what I mean: the clothing and jewelry really do complement each other.
Hart has been hosting events with us since before we even had a clothing store. It all started with the topknot tassel earrings that we have in all different colors. We have watched the brand grow and Hart’s family grow as well. The first event she had just gotten married and now she has two beautiful daughters and her sister, Curry, has joined the team.
For our last few events, the Hart Haggerty team hosted a “Custom Charm Bar” and it has been a huge hit. We’re doing it again. They are going to be in store (at The Hive this time) to help customers make their own personalized necklaces and we will have a selection of other great pieces from their line.
The Hart jewelry team will be here on Friday, March 31 from 11am to 7pm and Saturday, April 1 from 10 am to 2pm. Making a charm necklace is so much fun and such a great personal gift for a loved one. The best part is you can add to these necklaces as you go so the piece will evolve over time, as you choose. The team will help you make the perfect selection of charms and help you decide how to place them.
And of course, the Hunter Belle trunk show will be going on at the same time so you can shop for that perfect spring dress to go with your new one-of-a-kind charm necklace. Look out for the Lookbook tomorrow.
If you stop in on Saturday, we will have the espresso bar so you can grab a latte or cappuccino while you shop. We are so excited for spring, and we are so excited to kick off the spring season with this great event.
