How to Wear Red Pants
Do you see red? And I don’t mean when you are angry. My eyes immediately gravitate to this color previously reserved for royalty. In my corporate years I owned a killer two-piece red suit that I wore with utmost confidence. Today I own a stunning red wool coat, red tops for multiple occasions, a red-leather work tote, and of course a red snakeskin embossed bag for that necessary pop of color.Recently Kiskadee received red Just Black jeans. Then I questioned why have I never owned red pants?! To be honest, they scared me. What do I pair with them? I was not afraid to wear a red suit in Washington, D.C., yet wearing red pants terrified me.So I Googled “what colors go with red?” According to the internet, the colors black, brown, gray, blue, pink, white, and any combo there of such as leopard print. What did I learn?Red is a neutral. I think I knew that all along!
