Introducing Violet and Brooks
Back in early February I attended NY Now (the gift show). Even at this early time, you could start to see the effects of COVID-19. Usually, there are back to back booths next to each other in the Javits Center. This time, however, there were lots of missing vendors. Where there should have been booths, there were seating areas and rest spots for buyers. In addition to missing vendors, some designers were missing samples due to factories being shut down in China.Since there were several vendors missing that I wanted to see, I had some free time to roam the aisles. I like to do this anyway to find new brands and fun jewelry but usually, time is tight. Since we primarily sell clothing at Kiskadee, I usually only give myself a day and a half at this particular show.As I walked up and down the aisles, I came across a booth that caught my eye. The jewelry was fun, girly, and packaged beautifully. I think when it comes to jewelry, how it’s presented and packaged makes such a big difference. The owner and designer couldn’t be sweeter. Another thing that caught my attention was the price point. I like to carry a wide variety of price points in jewelry at Kiskadee. I would like anybody who comes in looking for a gift to be able to buy one. I was sold!I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. Like clothing and shoes, it can be brought to your home for you to look at in person. Just fill out our Bird Bag form if you would like to take a peek.
