Bringing Back Joy with the Veronica Beard Trunk Show
Earlier this week, I announced our first trunk show of the season, AGL. Usually we start with Veronica Beard, but this year we are doing the reverse. I figured why not change things up in 2021. Maybe a shift in things is good.Veronica Beard is the brand that really showed us how to do a trunk show and collaborate with a brand. They send us tons of merchandise, let us special order items, and always send our sales representative to help out. The only thing that is changing this time is that we won’t have our rep here with us. Don’t worry; we will do a live Zoom with Michelle so she can show some of her favorite pieces and talk about how her wardrobe has changed over the last year.Speaking of changing, I think what we have to offer this year will change a little bit as well. The Hive has always sold a ton of blazers and the brand that helped us do that was Veronica Beard. I know we have all slowed our blazer purchases this year (myself included, which doesn’t really happen), but this spring, the more relaxed fits and fabric have gotten me back in the mood to update my blazer collection. I already have the Margereth, a short sleeve option, but the Martel oversized jacket in black is calling my name. Of course, Veronica Beard is about more than blazers. They have great blouses that will make you Zoom-ready, the pants they have done this year are the perfect non-denim option, and the t-shirts are exactly what we all need this season: totally elevated and comfortable. And let’s not overlook their denim; they have upped their denim game this spring. They have also expanded their active and lounge options with that perfect touch of Veronica Beard we all love.Attached is the look book featuring all the great pieces they are shipping. Of course, we can order pieces for you as well. As I said, this company is here to help, so let us know what you need! I hope you will stop in and see us. Like Shelia Johnson said last year at the event, “When the VB trunk is open, we aren’t selling clothes; we are selling joy.” It was such a fun night when we launched the event last March and little did we know that one week later, things would shut down. I am hoping this event helps bring back a little of the joy. I know I am ready to be personally back in the stores. I will be there starting Thursday, March 11 - Sunday, March 14. I can’t wait to see everyone. Of course, all Veronica Beard, including VB shoes, will be 20 percent off.
