Looking Back, Moving Forward: A Year of Growth and Gratitude at Kristin Try Interiors
As 2025 comes to a close, we are reflecting on what has been both a rewarding and challenging year for Kristin Try Interiors. Like so many of you, we navigated unexpected turns—tight timelines, shifting budgets, and the ever-evolving design landscape. Yet through it all, the heart of our work remained the same: creating spaces that feel deeply personal and truly lived-in.
This year, we had the privilege of completing three incredible projects that showcase the essence of our design philosophy:
Woodland Terrace Primary Suite – A serene retreat layered with beautiful materials and custom elements throughout, designed to feel like a sanctuary for rest and renewal. The perfect retreat in a year that has been unpredictable at every turn.
Rosecrest Avenue – A full main-level decorating project along with an amazing basement renovation that transformed a family home into a warm, inviting space for gathering and entertaining, while honoring its architectural character. It is the best mix for entertaining and also fun for a young modern family.
Davis Avenue – A complete home renovation where every detail—from custom tile to gorgeous wallpaper to custom window treatments—were chosen to reflect the client’s story and create a cohesive, timeless design. This home maintains all the best from growing up in your childhood home to growing with our client today and into the future. Such a thoughtful collaboration of the past while bringing it current for today’s inspired living.
These homes weren’t just beautiful—they were layered with meaning. Family heirlooms, curated collections, and cherished memories became the foundation for interiors that feel authentic and timeless. We can’t wait to share the full photo reveals with you in 2026!
As we look ahead to 2026, our vision is clearer than ever. Kristin Try Interiors will continue to focus on what makes us unique: designing for clients in Alexandria and the Midwest who value a hands-on, highly personalized approach. In a world where so much is becoming automated, generic, and impersonal, we remain committed to giving our clients the kind of attention that makes their homes feel like them.
Thank you for trusting us with your homes, your stories, and your dreams. Here’s to a new year filled with beauty, meaning, and connection!
Cheers,
Kristin
