Some of the best-selling gifts we carry are things that celebrate our wonderful neighborhood of Del Ray and our great city of Alexandria. There are several different companies we order these fun gifts from every year. This year, however, we are also introducing a new line of local tea towels and more from local designer Amy Eggers. A florist (she owns FLORA Living + Design) by trade, Amy had to pivot her business to other things. Like many small business owners right now, she had to get creative. Long story short, we chatted over coffee and decided it would be fun for her to create and make some tea towels for Kiskadee. We have four designs in the store right now, to include Zip Code 22301 and 22305. She designed the fabric, had the fabric made, and sewed them all herself.

 I also found a company that uses vintage maps to make gifts. We are on our second re-order of the masks, pillows, and potholders. I really like this map because it shows some fun older features of the area and includes both Del Ray and Old Town. I also thought the ornament would be a fun gift.
