Moms and Martinis
You know you are on a new life journey when you can drink martinis with your children!!!
Ok…This newfound freedom is not just about the cocktail; it's about embracing a different phase of life.
Gone are the days of eye-rolling negotiations over book reports and bedtime. Or going to the mat over Brussels sprouts.
In their place, we chat about their dreams, (thankfully, there are many).
Their ambitions, (thankfully they have them).
And the challenges they face, (maybe not as thankful).
I now find myself clinging to the moments when they seek my advice on relationships or career choices, trusting me to offer mama wisdom gathered through my own good or bad experiences.
Interestingly, as we navigate this new dynamic, I’ve discovered that my children have so much to teach me as well. They bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a sense of curiosity that reignites my own passions. I love hearing their thoughts. (Most of the time)
It’s a beautiful reminder that learning never stops, regardless of age.
And as long as they remember the adage:
I love you Eve Armstrong and Eamonn Armstrong. I’m proud of you everyday.
And thank you to Josephine Old Town for always taking such good care of us!
Our other places to enjoy Martinis in Old Town: Hummingbird and Fontaine Caffe
Where will we be seeing you and your (grown) kids!? Share in the comments.
Support your local restaurants and retail shops. We need you!
