Mineral Makeup That Actually Performs

Over the years, I’ve been approached by many mineral makeup lines. Truthfully, I haven’t generally been a fan. I like a dewy look to my skin, but that doesn’t mean I want to look shiny. I can’t really explain the difference, but there is a difference. Most mineral makeup lines I’ve tried over the years have left me with a shiny look to my skin that seems artificial and heavy. If shiny wasn’t the problem, they ended up looking muddy. Neither look was ideal, to say the least. It's not that I don't recognize the benefits of mineral makeup. The ingredients are natural and so they’re free of potentially irritating chemicals, synthetics, fragrances, preservatives, parabens, and gluten, thus can be used on sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, injured skin, perioral dermatitis, and rosacea. Who doesn’t love a makeup you can use in the car on your way home from the cosmetic dermatologist? Many customers with sensitive skin have requested mineral makeup, but when I ask them if they’ve been happy with any they’ve tried the answer has been an overwhelming…no.So, when Glo Skin Beauty dropped off a kit with their makeup in it, I was polite and said I’d give it a try. I meant it. I just wasn’t sure when that would happen. As luck would have it, I forgot about it and left it in my car. A few days later I found myself in the car after an early nail appointment. I had planned to run home and get ready for an afternoon meeting, but mid nail appointment the meeting was moved up and I had to drive straight there. I don’t know about you, but when my nail appointment is at nine in the morning I’m happy to have brushed my teeth and thrown my hair up in a pony tail. Makeup? Ha!Panic set in and I frantically looked in the car to see if I at least had a stray lipstick I could use as blush. Then I saw the box from Glo Skin Beauty. Eureka! Even if it wasn’t that great, it would get me through the meeting. When I applied the foundation, I was impressed with the coverage. It was sheer, but not so sheer that it didn’t conceal my less than perfect complexion. The blush was perfectly pigmented and went on smoothly, even though I had to apply it with a Kleenex (I was in the car, people!). But one of my standout favorite products was the cream shadow stick. The color glided on and I could spread it and blend it perfectly with my finger. I loved the color, too.For a three-minute makeup application on the fly, I felt pretty good walking into the meeting. Over the next week I was surprised by how often I reached for the items in the box. My new favorite lip liner, concealer, powder, and cream shadow stick all came from that box. Oh, and did I mention that the makeup has a powerful blend of Vitamins A, C, E and Green Tea Extract for nourishing antioxidant protection? What?! It works and it’s good for you? It’s like chocolate or coffee..but you can use this as often as you want! And I’m confident you’ll want to use it a lot.
