Holiday Decorations Storage Ideas

Holiday décor brings a lot of joy, but eventually it all needs to come down and be put away. Before you start packing, here are our tried-and-true storage and organization tips.

Gather and inspect your decorations

This is a great time to categorize everything, take a close look, and edit out anything that’s broken or worn.

Get new bins

If your décor has been stored in a random assortment of cardboard boxes, now’s the time to invest in matching bins with lids. Store everything together in the same space so it’s easily accessible when you decorate again later this year.

Protect breakables

Whether you have delicate ornaments or figurines, we recommend storing them in divided bins with plenty of padding.

Wrap lights

Use a piece of cardboard, a spool, or even zip ties to keep lights from turning into a tangled mess.

Add labels

Once everything is in clear bins, adding labels is the finishing touch that will make next year’s decorating a breeze.

And if you need help? Call us at NEAT Method and we will take the holiday stress away.
