Kitchen Items That Cause the Most Clutter

For many people, the kitchen is the most popular room in the home and it can quickly become cluttered with appliances, tools and condiments. At NEAT Method we love to keep countertops as clear as possible, so here are our tips to make that happen:

1. Kitchen Appliances: You don't need to get rid of them, but you do need to figure out better storage solutions. A coffee maker is okay to stay on the counter as long as you use it every day, but if your air fryer only gets used once a week, we recommend finding a place for it behind a closed door.

2. Tupperware: It's great for storing leftovers and helping with meal prep, but it can get chaotic fast. To better handle them and make more room in your kitchen, we recommend matching lids to their correct containers and toss or donate any containers that are cracked, broken, don’t have matching lids or bottoms or are just taking up space in your cabinets.

3. Baking sheets: Toss what you don't use or has seen better days and if you can store vertically, this is the best way to maximize the space.

4. Water Bottles: To reduce the amount of clutter caused by reusable water bottles, narrow down your collection to have between one and three for every member of your household and then set aside any broken or orphan parts to be tossed or donated. Then arrange remaining water bottles upright in a basket within a cabinet or a deep divided drawer.

5. Sauce Packets: Repeat after me, "I do not need to keep all of the extra ketchup and soy sauce packets I've ever collected"
