The Most Stylish Way to Keep Track of Your Glasses
What is that line? “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
Okay, so this post isn’t about an invention; this item existed, but not in the way I had wanted it to. I had actually been thinking about this or trying to find the right version for a decade. Well, over a decade - ever since I started wearing reading glasses when I turned 40.
When Annette left, she texted me that she felt like she never left because the owner of the store she worked at would leave her Caddis readers all over the store and wore the same perfume as I do. It is true; I can never find my glasses. I am always taking them on and off or putting them on top of my head, which stretches them out.
During Covid, I turned my Lizzie Fortunato mask chain into an eyeglasses holder, but my kids told me it made me look like an old lady. I didn’t always listen, but I kind of agreed.
When I was looking at the TWP Spring 2026 runway show, I noticed the coolest eyeglass cords, I guess you would call them. I don’t know why they seemed so much more elevated than my chain, but they did. I knew we had to figure out a similar version. I knew just the people to call, Lily and Jenny from Monboutquette. I wanted cool beaded versions that would seem like a necklace. We recently unpacked our first arrivals, and I am so excited. They are exactly as good as I had hoped. We have five different colors of beads: black, red, green, blue, and yellow. I could not be more excited. I hope you all love them as much as I do, and it makes keeping track of your glasses a little bit easier.
