Drop a Line with These New Lines at Penny Post
Emily and I recently made our semi-annual pilgrimage to New York City for NY Now, the international gift show. This year was the first time the National Stationery Show was combined with the gift show. That was great for us because it meant we could eliminate a show in May and get to see all the great stationery earlier in the year. And did we ever see some great stationery! I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to a few of the outstanding new cards lines we have or are bringing to Penny Post.
Paper Epiphanies
First up is Paper Epiphanies. Equal parts sassy and classy, Paper Epiphanies has the right sentiment for every occasion. We were particularly struck by the new collaboration with graphic designer and artist Gia Graham. Each card has a beautifully illustrated quote from black female authors, activists, and poets that celebrate the words and life of black women. These cards are not the classic Paper Epiphanies signature sarcasm; instead they are beautiful, heartfelt, and sincere.[nemus_slider id="57928"]
People I’ve Loved
People I’ve Loved has been on our radar for some time and finally we are bringing them to Penny Post. The artwork is simple but, like Paper Ephiphanies, the sentiments are of the moment, totally relevant, and helpful in your everyday search for meaning. Recently, their founder Carissa Potter released a book that serves as a simple guide to figuring it all out. Her cards and book are available at Penny Post now.[nemus_slider id="57936"]
Reyn Paper
Moving from sincere to silly brings us to Reyn Paper. A small stationer out of Douglasville, Georgia, Reyn Paper’s illustrations are a little wry and their sentiments are pun-tastic. We went a little nuts for their illustrated animal series. I think you will, too.[nemus_slider id="57945"]
Fugu Fugu Press
Coming soon is another line that I’ve been wanting to bring to the store for some time, Fugu Fugu Press. The name alone brings a smile to your face. Add that to the sweet graphic illustrations and you’ve got a great brand. The one card we knew we had to have was the giant panda thank you card. Who wouldn’t love seeing that in their mailbox?! These guys aren’t in yet, but we expect them soon, so be on the lookout.[nemus_slider id="57953"] There are plenty more lines to come, but these are a few that really touched us. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
