New Mou? Yes, Please!

I have great news for you. We have been waiting for months and months for this shipment. I honestly didn’t know if it would happen. I thought these boxes might just be floating in the middle of the ocean for eternity, but we finally got our Mou shipment! Ten boxes, to be exact, and we are so excited about everything inside.

Mou boots were founded in London in 2002. The founder, Shelley Tichborne, wanted luxurious footwear for city-living. They are all hand-crafted in Italy with premium natural fibers. They are warm and durable and cute! You won’t want to take them off your feet, except when you are at home and you put on Mou slippers. The slippers are actually how I first found the line. I bought a pair at Betsey Fisher before it closed, and I was immediately obsessed. I really want to get another pair, but my first ones are in perfect condition, and I can’t justify replacing them - and they are three years old. I wear them all the time. The boots hold up just as well. Once again, I want the Missoni-inspired ones we have this year, but mine look fine after two years. But I might just have to get them anyway.

The boots and the slippers make the perfect Christmas gift, and since we got them so late, we decided to offer 20 percent off since they weren’t part of the Black Friday sale. These will go quickly, so don’t wait, and if my size is left, I will have to get them.

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
