Newness All Around!

If you’ve been following along with our Instagram stories, you’ll know that recently we made some serious progress in our renovation saga. We have refinished our entryway flooring, our staircase is completely refurbished (still pending the new carpet), we have walls again on our third floor, and our “old” first-floor showroom is slowly being dismantled. While we still have lots of leg work to do, I feel like we are turning a corner into the more “fun” part of renovations: the painting, new carpeting, and new furniture layout. It’s exciting, to say the least. While we are eagerly awaiting our new sign to be installed next week, we will begin using our “new” entryway (the door on the left-hand side of the building) this week. You’ll be able to see our newly renovated reception space and catch a glimpse of the hard work we’re putting into the staircase, which leads into our new showroom. We also added some beautiful star jasmine planters and a fabulous wreath from The Enchanted Florist for the “new” entryway, inviting you in. It’s a work-in-progress, for sure, but we’re getting there! As I mentioned previously, we are thrilled to welcome a new neighbor into our “old” space. Nicole McGrew has lived in Alexandria for more than a decade and she will be opening her first storefront, Threadleaf, which will specialize in beautifully crafted, sustainably sourced clothing and accessories for women. She’s targeting Mother’s Day for her grand opening, and stay tuned for an exclusive interview with her about her new business! We’re so happy to have her.As always, if you have any questions about our schedule or the services we provide, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. Our shop hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 12-6pm, but you can always email me with questions.
