One Skirt, Three Ways

Sometimes I surprise myself with what I pick out when I go to market. I have a list of things that I typically don’t pick (okay, things I usually don’t like). These would include polka dots, eyelets, and paisley. But of course, sometimes I surprise myself and end up falling in love with an item that has one of these patterns.

That is exactly what happened with this set from L'AGENCE. When I saw it, I loved everything about it. I had to order it for the store. I loved that you could wear it as a set to look like a slip dress, but you could also style the skirt and tank in many different ways. It reminds me of the 1980s Ralph Lauren ads that I was so obsessed with as a teen. I mean the tweed, the blazers, the layers and of course the paisley. I wanted to crawl into the pages and be sitting on that wood sided Wagoner or vintage bicycle with all the other models.

Sometimes to believe it, you have to see it on a person. So, I asked a styling pro, Ali, and our always willing model, Megan Brown, to show us all the different ways to wear it. As they say, the proof is in the pudding—or in this case, the photos. It is such a great set. These three looks are just the beginning of the many ways there are to style it.
