Patina Has Everything You Need: For Home, Garden and Gifts

My husband just celebrated his favorite holiday: Thanksgiving! He really appreciates the essence of the holiday – the food, family and friends getting together, football games, and no gift-giving. Patina just happens to be a home, garden and gift store. How dare he not enjoy gift-giving! A little secret though, he is the absolute best gift-giver. When we do our secret Santa exchange at Christmas, everyone always hopes he has their name, mainly because he ignores the dollar limit and always goes way over. He somehow always gets my Mom…she loves him and his gifts!

Patina not only has lovely items for your loved ones but we also have gifts for the house. There is still time to add that extra chair(s), art, lamps – anything you need to make your home feel special this holiday season.

A couple of times, I have mentioned to customers that we might just focus on our home items and cut out jewelry, cashmere, etc. There were resounding responses of “Absolutely not, we like the jewelry, bags and cashmere!” When my Mom visits, she never makes it out of the room without selecting a piece of jewelry. Accessories are definitely staying!

We can’t wait to help you find perfect gifts as well as adding finishing touches to your holiday decorations and home. See you soon at 111 S. Columbus Street!

Patina Polished Living was created 10 years ago by friends Amanda Mertins and Kimberly Weiler.

Amanda Mertins was born in Ohio and graduated the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics. She started moving and editing furniture and accessories while in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. She enjoys baking desserts and playing with her grandchildren.

Kim Weiler was born in Pennsylvania and graduated the University of the Arts with a degree in graphic design. Upon graduating, she was immediately hired by one of her professors at the Katz Wheeler Design firm. She loves design, gardening, sweet tea and all French bulldogs.

Amanda and Kim are excellent complements to one another-one could even say the Yin and Yang of design. Being very different people but with interconnected forces is the reason their partnership continues to flourish.
