A Little Secret About Retail… There's a Reason for Sales
One of the things I love most about Patina is helping people discover pieces they didn't even know they were looking for. Sometimes it's the perfect lamp, an antique table, or a candle that reminds them of a favorite vacation. Kim and I spend time selecting the pieces for our store, and each one is chosen intentionally.
Because of that, people are often surprised when they see something marked on sale. Oftentimes they'll ask, "Is something wrong with it?" Almost always, the answer is no.
Sales are a part of good retail. Every season brings new collections, new vendors, and fresh inspiration. We travel to markets looking for unique finds and timeless pieces that will make your home feel warm and personal. As those new arrivals come through our doors, we must make room for them.
Sometimes a vendor retires a collection or changes a color. Sometimes we've sold all but one piece. Sometimes a seasonal item has had its moment, and now it's time to welcome what's next. And occasionally, we simply want to refresh the look of the shop so you'll discover something different each time you visit.
Rather than tuck these beautiful pieces away in storage, we'd much rather pass the savings along to you. That's why we're so excited to introduce our new Sale Room at Patina.
We've gathered our sale merchandise into one dedicated space, making it easy to browse for unexpected treasures. You might find a piece of furniture you've admired, a beautiful mirror, home décor, artwork, garden accessories, or the perfect finishing touch for a room you've been decorating.
One thing we've learned over the years is that some of the most-loved pieces in a home weren't purchased because someone was looking for them. They were discovered by chance, and the timing was just right.
Our Sale Room is a little like that. The selection is always changing, and once something is gone, it's usually gone for good. That's what makes each visit a treasure hunt.
