6 Reasons to Love Going to Bed Again

After a 14-month renovation, my husband and I were thrilled to move back into our home. We are enjoying our new kitchen along with the dining area and family room addition. But our biggest thrill was getting to sleep in our bed!

Patina cannot emphasize enough how important it is to love your whole sleeping situation!

Buying quality bedding is worth it for several reasons:

  • Better Sleep Quality. High-quality materials like Egyptian cotton, linen, or bamboo are softer and more breathable, promoting deeper, more restful sleep.

  • Durability & Longevity. Premium bedding lasts longer, resisting wear and tear from washing and daily use, making it a better long-term investment.

  • Comfort & Temperature Regulation. Good bedding materials wick away moisture, keep you cool in summer, and warm in winter for year-round comfort.

  • Health Benefits. Hypoallergenic and breathable fabrics reduce allergens, dust mites, and skin irritations, improving overall health.

  • Aesthetic & Luxury Feel. Quality sheets and comforters look and feel more luxurious, adding to the overall ambiance of your bedroom.

  • Better Value for Money. While initially more expensive, high-quality bedding reduces the need for frequent replacements, saving money over time.

Patina is excited to introduce our “bedroom” and the beautiful items in it:

We have Sferra bedding and towels as well as the ability to order different colors and patterns.

There are duvets and shams from Christian Fischbacher of Switzerland, whose bed linen has always been synonymous with unique quality and incomparable design. And we love our Yves Delorme accent pillows and soaps.

We also carry Le Blanc Linen Wash, a cold-water cleaner for use in your washing machine to gently and thoroughly clean your finest fabrics.

Please come see our “bedroom” at Patina Polished Living at 111 S. Columbus Street and enjoy a luxurious experience.

Amanda Mertins was born in Ohio and graduated the University of Maryland with a degree in Economics. She started moving and editing furniture and accessories while in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. She enjoys baking desserts and playing with her grandchildren.

Kim Weiler was born in Pennsylvania and graduated the University of the Arts with a degree in graphic design. Upon graduating, she was immediately hired by one of her professors at the Katz Wheeler Design firm. She loves design, gardening, sweet tea and all French bulldogs.

Amanda and Kim are excellent complements to one another-one could even say the Yin and Yang of design. Being very different people but with interconnected forces is the reason their partnership continues to flourish.
