Restaurant Report: Piece Out Pizza in Del Ray

Piece Out is now open on the corner of Mount Vernon Ave and E Uhler Ave! With a variety of items on their menu, Piece Out is a perfect spot to enjoy some pizza, pasta, and people watching.From the owner behind Cafe Pizzaiolo, Market2Market, and St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub, Piece Out opened in mid-July, where Catch on the Ave. was formerly located. This new Italian pizza joint offers more than just pizza - their menu includes pasta, salads, wings, and more. Did I mention Frozé and snow cones, too?!  We tried their classic “White Pizza” with their house-made fresh and smoked mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, spinach, and basil topped with olive oil and garlic. The heavenly smell of the garlic and cheese combo was mouthwatering.  We also tried their namesake, “The Piece Out Pizza.” This was a red pizza with mozzarella, hot Italian sausage, pepperoni, green bell pepper, and red onion. Piece Out pizzas come in two sizes, 12” and 16”, great to share with friends or enjoy the smaller size as a single.  The location is perfect, as right around the corner is the “Greetings from Del Ray” mural.
