Puffed... The Magic Sleeve
In the summer of 2017, my family took a trip to Europe. While in Paris, I had to do some shopping. This was shortly after I purchased Kiskadee and was curious about how different small boutiques looked. I was especially curious about Parisian small boutiques. I found a cute store near Notre Dame that carried some really cute and affordable things. There was one brand that I am still trying to track down. Anyway, I found the cutest shirt with puffed sleeves. It was a casual type t-shirt, but the sleeves made it a bit dressier. I hadn't seen anything like it in the U.S. yet. Ever since I fell in love with Anne of Green Gables, I have loved puffed sleeves. So, I had to have it. The sleeves weren't crazy big, just enough to make a small statement. As with many things fashion, what is big in Europe usually takes a bit longer to make its way into American fashion. Before too long, we started seeing this trend here. I just got back from buying spring and it's still prevalent. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. In addition to understated puffed sleeves, we have voluminous balloon sleeves. The styles we have in the store now are fairly understated, which I love. This sweet top by Draper James has a tiny puffed sleeve. I love this color for fall!

I love the balloon sleeves on this top by THML. That, combined with the mixing of different fabrics, makes it unique.
