Resort Lookbook

I can’t believe I am writing about our Resort Lookbook! But here we are, wearing winter coats and gloves talking about Resort. This delivery really doesn’t mean what it used to mean. What once was a shipment of bathing suits and caftans for the lucky few who jetted off on multiple winter vacations, is now a more wearable delivery for all of us. At least what we pick is primarily buy-now-wear-now pieces that give you a glimpse into what will be filling our shelves this spring.

I hate to call it trendy, because that means you won’t want these pieces for years to come. This is not fast fashion. These are great pieces to add to your wardrobe that can take you through many seasons.

When I flipped through the pages of the book when it was completed, I concluded it was our best buy yet since we opened The Hive. There’s so much versatility in the pieces and so much color, which I think we all need. We talk a lot about clothes that are “WPD” (Work Play Dinner). There are some sparkles and sequins, but most fit the WPD test we use when we are on a buying trip.

It’s hard for me to pick a favorite. I love all the fun sweaters in bright colors. You have to look at the Allude pages closely. Most of the sweaters aren’t pictured in the colors we will be receiving. We are getting them in bright greens and pinks!

There is a suede red skirt from Lou Lou that is hard to beat and many great options from Smythe. I always want all the Smythe and this delivery is no different.

Some of the pieces we already have in the store and some will come in the New Year, but I thought with the Give-A-Gift-Get-A-Gift promotion, this was the perfect time to show what is new and what is coming. If you see something coming later and want to be notified, let us know!
