They will all be at Seaport Day this Saturday at Old Town’s Waterfront Park from noon-5pm, and you should come, too!Seaport Day has been a long-standing tradition of the Alexandria Seaport Foundation as a community festival that embraces ASF’s mission of helping youth redirect and improve their lives through adult mentoring, project-based learning, and the craft of wooden boat building.Come celebrate our city’s maritime heritage and meet some of the ASF apprentices, all while enjoying live music from indie rock band the DCeivers, wooden boat displays, children’s activities, lawn games (including cornhole and golf!), and local food, beer, and wine. Most importantly, come out and watch ASF’s famous and highly entertaining “Anything that Floats” race at 2pm.All proceeds from the event support the Alexandria Seaport Foundation’s mission and programs.
