Spring Cleaning Secrets We Swear By

Spring is here and so is the urge to declutter, deep clean and organize! Seasonal cleaning doesn't have to take over your entire week or even month, but with some helpful tips, you can embark on these tasks with minimal stress.

1.  Break it down. Focus on small manageable tasks, whether it's one room at a time or setting your timer for one hour. We recommend decluttering first as it will make the cleaning so much easier!

2.  Try before you buy. So often we think that buying lots of bins, baskets and jars ahead of time will force us to organize, but we find that if you wait to determine your exact container needs you'll have better success.

3.  Focus on high traffic areas. Prioritize your most-used or highest-trafficked spaces (such as the kitchen and living room) in terms of the order in which you tackle each space. This allows the cleaning process to have an immediate impact, rather than starting with an unused room where you’ll rarely feel the effects of your hard efforts.

4.  Set a timer. Put your project on a calendar and set a timer! Even 30 minutes of focused effort will make an impact.

Remember, an organized home isn’t about perfection; it’s about creating space for joy, connection and magical moments. Not ready to take on these projects by yourself? NEAT Method offers expert organizing services and a curated product collection to help you discover the luxury of living beautifully organized.
