Street Style: Paige Patterson

Please allow me to introduce our newest member of the team…and my little sister, Paige Patterson! We are very excited to announce that Paige has officially joined The Patterson Group! After spending the last two years working in commercial real estate at CBRE in Washington, D.C., on a retail leasing team, she decided to make the switch to residential. Can you believe it took her two, full years to realize what fun it would be working side by side with her mom and sister every day!? We can’t either!Paige will be a jack of all trades for our team, from bringing our team up-to-date on systems and technology, to creating media posts, to helping with client care. We are looking forward to the spunk and organization she will bring!Paige is an Alexandrian, born and bred. She attended Waynewood Elementary and St. Stephen's and St. Agnes Middle and Upper Schools (Class of 2012), then went on to The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (Go Heels!), where she studied Advertising and Entrepreneurship. She grew up on the Gunston soccer and Fort Hunt lacrosse fields and, for the last 24 years, has watched her mom and sister take on the Alexandria real estate market with integrity, loyalty, and professionalism. We know that she will apply these values as she enters Alexandria’s residential real estate world.Welcome, Paige! We are so excited you decided to join our team! Welcome to the “Extraordinary Alexandria” fun!

ABOUT YOU

How do you spend your time? Trying to keep up with the awesome Patterson Group team! Being new, I am trying to learn and see as much as I can. Everyone is always on the go, so it has been a lot of fun to tag along.Neighborhood: Mount VernonHow long have you lived in Alexandria: Born and raised, 24 years…What would surprise people about you? I still live at home with my mom, ha! Living rent free has been nice, but I may need to move out now that we are working together, too! You’re a superhero: what’s your superpower? Teleport! I would love to be able to snap my fingers and be somewhere.Favorite cocktail: Anything with tequila and grapefruitLast book read or movie seen: I went on a WWII kick and watched Dunkirk, Darkest Hour, and Saving Private Ryan, all in one weekend. I am usually a rom-com-only girl, so this was out of character for me. I was glad I branched out, but will resume my usual watching habits. I like happy endings, what can I say!?Guilty Pleasure: Anything and everything sweet. My sweet tooth is out of control.Phrase you overuse: “Amazing!”Facebook or Instagram? Instagram, although I need to post more! Shameless plug follow @pcpatterson and @pattersongroupsothebysrealty!Latest binge-watch: I don’t watch much TV, I know super lame, but I did watch the first season of Narcos and found it fascinating.Bucket list travel destination: Bora Bora. Have you seen those water huts?!If you only could have one for the rest of your life: wine or coffee? Wine. I don’t drink coffee, I think it taste horrible!

FASHION

Define your style in three words or less: Simple but funThe go-to piece in your wardrobe: For work, classic blazers that add a little pop of fun, like the Veronica Beard one I am wearing! For fun, Vince slip-on sneakers and skinny jeans.Favorite trend ever: Basic white t-shirt/button down. You can dress it up or down, a classic staple.Favorite current trend: Athleisure + fashion sneakers. Am I going to yoga or am I going to brunch??Beauty product you can’t live without: Elta MD Tinted SunscreenFavorite fragrance: Chanel ChanceHeels or flats? Flats! At a whopping 5’4” I am the tallest Patterson girl and can get away with wearing flats. My mom and sister are always in heels though!

HOME

Favorite room in your home: Well technically I guess it is my parents home…but I love our kitchen. It’s the center of our home where everyone gathers. We have huge glass windows/doors overlooking the Potomac, and it is very tranquil.Antiques, modern, or a mix? Mix, a modern clean feel with antique pieces.Last item bought for your home: I bought a set of bedside table lamps. The deal was too good to pass up and I am starting to slowly collect things for when I decide to move out.Next planned purchase: A place of my own. Probably renting first, though.Favorite way to entertain: Casual night in with a small group of girlfriendsClutter-free or well-lived in? Clutter-free, except I am not very good at living clutter-free…work in progress. I feel so much better when there is less “stuff” in my room, in my closet, anywhere. Wallpaper -- yes, totally modern or no, so dated: Yes! I think bathrooms and laundry rooms with wallpaper make the space much more fun and lively.

FITNESS

Your go-to work-out: Barre3!Most fun way to exercise: Playing sports because you get caught up in the competition and forget that it is “exercise.”Group exercise or solo: I played a lot of sports growing up so I love group exercise. You feed off one another’s energy and you push yourself harder.Fitness goal: Pull-ups! I cannot do a single one but I'm working on it!Haven’t yet, but might be willing to try with coaching / encouragement: A half marathon, but I HATE running, this would take a LOT of encouragement.Proudest fitness achievement: I was on the 2013 UNC Women’s National Championship Lacrosse team, and that is by far, and will always be, my proudest fitness/sports achievement.
