Street Style: Teneice Bowie
One of the things I love about living and working in Alexandria is the wonderful web of people that makes our community more than just a city. Meeting Teneice Bowie is one instance where this sentiment proved true. Teneice and I met through a mutual friend, and we’ve been coffee/mompreneur/dinner buddies ever since. She has a colorful personality, making her both hard to forget and fun to be around.
Candid and chic with a sense of humor, Teneice isn’t your typical combat veteran. As an U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class, Teneice was deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. She earned both the Global War on Terrorism Service and Expeditionary medals (among others). She was honorably discharged in 2007. In the short two years that I’ve known Teneice, I’ve seen how she applies the same bravery she employed as an Airman to her daily life.
Teneice is a beauty and wellness guru, always keeping me abreast of the latest technologies and treatments in skincare and boutique fitness. She has mastered the elevated-athleisure look, which allows her to easily transition from teaching Pilates to brunch. I’m inspired by Teneice’s commitment to a life of style and wellness. And I’m honored to introduce her to the community I so love.
