Surprise Sweater Sale at The Hive

I remember one time sitting with my friend Kathy Martin on the first hot day of spring. You know the kind – with the heat so sticky you can feel that the air is different. I, of course, started to complain, and Kathy explained how this change made her want to twirl around in the heat. Now every year on that first really hot day of the year I text her and ask if she is spinning. At the same time, I am curled up in a corner crying, dreading the heat and humidity. It is bad for my skin, my hair, and most summer clothing styles don’t look so great on me. I know my shape and let’s face it, NASA engineers would need to be consulted to find me the right underpinnings for some summer styles.Six months down the road it is now my turn to twirl. The day when you walk outside and you realize you have to go back in and get a sweater or jacket is the day that delights me. Last week this long-awaited day happened, and I wanted to spin! No, I wanted to do cartwheels down King Street. I love fall. Nothing makes me happier than packing up my tank tops and sundresses and pulling out big, bulky sweaters. Now we’ve just gotten a glimpse of the cool so far, and you might not need that sweater all day, but those few blissful hours in the early morning mean that sometime soon I will finally stop sweating at some point in each day.To my delight, the lines from the major designers this fall are all about sweaters, chunky, over-sized, and cozy sweaters. So to celebrate I have decided to do a sweater sale. It’s time for everyone to stock up and we’ve got cable knits and cardigan stitch; we’ve got your cashmere and your cotton; your fitted and your slouchy...and so much more. So come in and warm up, the cozy way.Be sure to watch our Stories on Instagram -- we will feature our entire selection all weekend.
