The Denim Jacket – Every Closet’s Staple
At the Hive, we appreciate a good jean jacket and consider it to be an absolute staple in everyone’s closet. It adds an extra pop to an outfit, provides obvious warmth, and typically gives the vibe of effortless cool. Given that fashion has swung towards the casual side this season, a denim jacket is the perfect layering piece, and there are so many styles to choose from! When travel opens back up again, I find that a denim jacket makes the perfect travel companion – it won’t wrinkle and complements practically any outfit, whether it be casual or dressy.In this post, I have styled every denim jacket we have available in store. Some I took dressy, others I kept casual. You’ll notice that I never did a full denim on denim, monochromatic look. I got nervous, ok! I lost my nerve. Given my childhood, all I can think about is Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake in full denim at the American Music Awards in 2001. I’m not trying to go back there! But for those more daring than me but could still use some inspiration on how to achieve the denim on denim look, I highly recommend pulling up Pinterest and doing a quick style search.
