The Straw Sale

Nothing says summer more than something made of straw. Okay, maybe linen, too, but that isn’t what I’m here to talk about.

When I think of summer I think of big straw hats and bags. We have always carried a wide selection from Janessa Leone and Hat Attack, and this year we added some more bags to the selection. A customer favorite, MZ Wallace, does some great straw totes and purses and we also have a new line, Maison N.H Paris.

We found Maison N.H Paris at one of our favorite showrooms where we see Allude. We couldn’t help but notice the bright color bags in interesting shapes. Founded in 2015 by two Japanese friends living in Paris, they draw inspiration from their travels and art.

Since it’s officially summer and the Fourth of July is almost here we wanted to help everyone spruce up their summer accessories. Starting June 27, all straw accessories are 50 percent off! Shop online or in store at The Shoe Hive, check them out:

Owner | The Hive, The Shoe Hive, and Yellow Jacket

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
