The Slip Dress Edit

One of my favorite items for summer is a slip dress. They are easy to wear and keep you cool when it is hot and sticky outside. But here is the thing, not all slip dresses are created equal. You want to make sure the fabric won’t show sweat (very important in the summer months), you want to make sure it moves right, and if it has spaghetti straps, you want to make sure they are adjustable. Of course, a great color helps as well.Right now, we have two great slip dresses in the store from L’agence - the Lorraine and the Akiya. We love the green color of the Lorraine, and well, yellow is so good it is already almost gone (and might be by the time this article runs)! I think the best part about a slip dress is that you really can style it a million ways. It is perfect alone, and you can dress it up or down with ease. But the best part is all the other ways you can wear it. In the winter, just throw on a sweater and boots, and nobody will know it is a dress… it just looks like a great skirt.I asked Madeline to show us how many ways you can wear this great dress, and of course, she did an amazing job. It is hard for me to pick my favorite look, and she looks amazing in all the shots. After seeing all these photos, don’t we all need a new slip dress?
