Thinking of Updating Your Kitchen?

Are you thinking of doing a kitchen update? If your clunky island and peel-and-stick tile flooring are screaming “heck yes,” then it might be time to start thinking about a remodel. Countertops are a great investment to completely refurbish and change the entire look of your kitchen. Here’s a roundup of what we’re seeing for the top 2020 trends:

Granite is Gone

The counters that we’ve always seen as traditionally being granite are now being switched out for man-made products like quartz, quartzite and marble. These man-made products are great because they’re non-porous, so they resist staining much better than granite. You can always be confident that you are getting your quartz countertop absolutely clean, and that's a great benefit in both the kitchen and the bathroom.

Calcutta Gold

Calcutta Gold is a marble, quartz, or quartzite in traditional white with the typical grey lines with added gold accents running through it. It instantly adds an essence of elegance to any kitchen. Another great aspect of this? You can now feel free to mix and match different metals. The grey will pull in the stainless appliances. The gold accents will allow you to add gold pendant lighting and gold hardware to cabinets.

Artistic Edge

Man-made product counters make it easier for artists to create intricate designs. Counters and islands can now flow out in an almost angel like pattern. Islands and counters can be an artistic design or symbol. These can now be amazing visual elements in your kitchen.

Concrete is Back

Concrete is no longer and drab slab and is back in for counters and flooring. It doesn’t scratch, can be customized to any surface and is unaffected by heat. It can also be any color, you can add any texture, and can be customized with anything from glass to fiber optic lights. It can also be an instant way to give your kitchen an urban or contemporary look.
