A Conversation Starter at Your Next Black Tie Affair
Little fun fact: I love cufflinks. They're such a subtle, elegant way to express one's personality and I have to admit that some of my favorite custom designs have come in the form of cufflinks. One can create pieces that are just steeped with personality in these very simple forms, and the effect is always an unexpected and fun way to jazz up an outfit. "Personality" is what I loved about the collection of sterling silver and 14k gold cufflinks, tie pins, and tuxedo studs that we have added to our showroom for the holidays: it's filled with humor, personal touches, and fascinating forms - and, everything is designed right here in Alexandria by local artist Linda Hesh. Linda's art takes many forms - sculpture, printed media, and interactive public installments - so her jewelry collection is just one iteration of her creative process. She hand-carved each design and then cast and finished by hand each style in sterling silver or 14k gold. Her tongue-in-cheek approach to art shows through with her creative designs, with options ranging from sailboats with nautical ties to baseballs with hotdog backs. I particularly love the quotation mark stud set. They're completely elegant with their beautiful fluid shape, and yet the design is playful and unique at the same time. They're sure to be a conversation starter at your next black tie affair. We have many more fun designs including street signs, palm trees, and even doors! We have a limited selection of each style available through the holidays so if you're looking for the perfect, personal gift, stop by soon to see what we're featuring in our showroom. And remember - if we don't have the right theme in stock, we can always custom design a set just for you. Just remember: our cutoff for custom work is November 16th, so don't delay your creative project!
