Dreaming of a Time-Saving Style Solution
Do you ever wish you could record your dreams? Do you wonder what they would look like if you could? For me, dreams often come in and out of focus. This becomes quite evident if you’ve ever tried to share a dream you’ve had with someone. It’s as if you begin explaining your dream with such clarity and explicit details then an eminent illogical shift occurs where time has skipped ahead. It’s as though you are racing to finish describing your recall before it escapes your memory forever. Dreams substantiate what an incredibly fascinating organ the human brains is.So what does dreaming have to do with style and dressing? Well, in this post there is a literal and figurative answer.
Literally: You Overslept!
We all have had mornings where we have overslept, perhaps from hitting the snooze button and falling back asleep. Next thing you know you are in that semiconscious state of wondering what day of the week it is. Your eyes are still closed and you're thinking, what time is it?! Shouldn’t I be awake by now? Next thing you know, you dart up from your horizontal state of dreaming and have now unfortunately started your day with a deficit of time. Hopefully, you have put some go-to outfits in your wardrobe that take no more than three minutes. In case you haven’t, make a mental note of this time-honored style recipe: jeans and a t-shirt with a jacket. We all have these basics in our wardrobe. Next locate an incredible scarf, preferably one with lots of seasonal colors and a variety of interesting prints when worn. When you’re looking to transform this simple outfit into an elevated ensemble, a scarf becomes your ticket to style. Sometimes we get so caught up with trying to make sure we are hitting all the trendiest looks that we forget the simple fixes that make life easy. The addition of a scarf will help you make up for lost time without leaving you feeling ho-hum about your outfit the rest of the day.

Figuratively: Suzi Roher Scarves Are Like a Dream!
If we were to try and paint a record of memories from our conscious and unconscious mind, I’d like to imagine this would look like the scarves from Suzi Roher. If you have not experienced these works of art, I invite you to come in and ask to take a look at the collection at TSALT. The imagery used in her scarf collections comes from original art and photography. Each one seems to tell a story, or perhaps describe a dream. There is a layering of information that occurs in her scarves that has you completely interested in as a piece of wall art or when draped around your neck.

"People consider scarves to be an intimate accessory; Suzi Roher’s scarves acknowledge this intimacy with their luxurious softness and gorgeous coloring. Many scarves contain original art and photography that dissolves into obscured forms and beautifully layered colors when it is worn. The unique coloring combined with the incredibly high-quality fabrics make these scarves a must have. Suzi Roher scarves are an impeccable marriage of style and comfort, art and fashion– once you try it on, you won’t want to take it off."Many times when I’m helping clients for an event, they ask what they can wear on their arms. Instead of using your scarf as a shawl, try this little trick. Tie the same side corners together and create a kimono style jacket to wear over a dress or your separates. Here, I took the same scarf and added a punctuation to this otherwise simple outfit. This works well when you are traveling and visiting mosques or holy places. Keeping a scarf tucked in your bag with a few little tricks tucked up your sleeve will keep you appropriately dressed on the fly.
