Top Kitchen And Bath Design Trends For 2023
It’s that time of year again when our design team heads to KBIS to discover the latest trends in kitchen and bath design. Our team spent last week scouring through hundreds of booths to discover the latest products, trends, and just “wow” items that they think Alexandria homeowners will just love. After a busy week in Las Vegas, they came home inspired with new ideas and great products to include in future designs. For this week’s article, I asked each designer to share their favorite discoveries from the show. Here is what caught their attention:
Danielle Steele, Lead Designer
I loved the Frank Lloyd Wright bath collection from Brizo. It is a newly unveiled collection to honor his philosophy of organic architecture. The shower head shown is focused on natural and organic elements combining water and light. The light is literally powered by water, so when the shower head is on, the light is on. The display was extra cool because it was a tribute to his Fallingwater home. I can’t get enough of Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired design, and will definitely include this in a project with the same style!
Sooz Wilson, Kitchen and Bath Designer
I love the custom armoire look of this GE Café fridge. The hidden grill front and drawer really make it look like a piece of furniture. This is a totally unexpected way to “hide” your appliances. It brings a traditional, custom feel into a kitchen that a paneled cabinet door can’t always provide.
Michaela Sedlak, Designer
I love the sleek and elegant style of the new Greenfield collection from Moen, shown here in matte black. The profile is slim and rounded, giving it a transitional look while still being beautifully decorative. I love the matte black finish and the fact it comes in a full collection, including accessories. A freestanding tub filler rounds this out as my favorite new collection!
Nadia Wall, Kitchen and Bath Designer
My favorite booth at KBIS was by Richelieu. I loved the beautiful metal mesh inserts for the cabinets. My favorite inserts were the brass-tone pieces. My absolute favorite thing at their booth, however, was their 3D textured panels. I can’t wait to design a kitchen using the fluted and ribbed panels to wrap along the back of an island or a hood. The applications are endless!
Megan Bell, Designer
I loved the Moen Magnetix shower head. You can detach the entire shower head for easy cleaning, which I thought was a genius idea. I love that this is both a practical and beautifully sleek-looking showerhead.
