Westman Atelier Lip Suede Has Arrived!

We’ve been teased for months about Gucci Westman’s new lip compact. We’ve seen the Instagram posts and read the magazine features and we’ve been anxiously awaiting its release. Well wait no longer, it’s here and it’s “ahmaazing.”Aside from being the sexiest compact I’ve ever seen; the lipstick is fabulous! The lipstick has a matte finish, though the vegan formula is quite hydrating thanks to the cherry and marula oil. Westman wanted a compact rather than a bullet because she likes to mix colors to create a custom look.   "As a makeup artist, I always work with lip palettes. In my kit, I have all the lipstick shades I need scooped out and transferred into an empty grid. I love the freedom of personalizing and customizing. It allows me to add depth or a shot of color or make a shade completely unique," stated Westman herself. "How you wear the shades is really up to each individual."The compact is in reality four distinct lipsticks. “Les Rouges” (fuchsia, dark red, classic red, and neutral rose) can be worn individually or layered to create a custom color. "If you’re in the mood, wear the bright tomato red on its own — or maybe you make it more of an orchid shade and pop in the vivid pink tone to the middle of your lips. Maybe you go deeper,” Westman continued. "There is also a lovely brick red, and a beautifully wearable tawny red — great for a day look and enhancing your natural lips.”  In keeping with her mission to provide clean beauty, Lip Suede is made without silicones, parabens, phthalates, and more. It should come as no surprise that once again Gucci Westman has hit it out of the park. It’s gorgeous, it performs…oh…and bonus…it’s clean. The matte shades let you apply it like a stain and it last for hours under gloss. Even if you don’t wear red lipstick, you’re going to want one. Hurry before they undoubtedly sell out.
