What's in a Name?
Last month I went to the gift show in Atlanta. As I walked through a section called "Temporaries," I noticed a bright, colorful, and happy looking booth. I couldn't resist. The shoes in the booth were just what I thought we needed at Kiskadee for the spring and summer.I instantly fell in love with Lemon Jelly shoes. I love a good pool slide or beach shoe and I know I'll find a way this summer to enjoy those things. I've mentioned it before, but I have some foot problems. Flip flops aren't comfortable for me anymore. I also don't like anything that looks like a Birkenstock. I find them uncomfortable and not flattering for many people. These shoes are so comfortable! Another thing I liked about them is that they give me a bit of height without being painful, so you can even pair them with a casual summer dress... which I plan on doing. I loved them so much I got several pairs for myself. I can't wait to wear them!Something else that will draw me to a brand is their sustainability model. All made in Portugal, these shoes are vegan and PETA approved. Their factory runs on entirely renewable electric energy, and best of all, they have a recycling program. You can send back old Lemon Jelly shoes and they will recycle them into a line called Recycled Lemons. And bonus - they'll send you a voucher for 10 percent off your next pair! I hope you find them as comfortable and versatile as I do.
