Where The Wild Things Are

Animal print has always been a mainstay in fashion. Sometimes, we see more of it than usual, but it's always there. That's why I tend to never say it's a trend. I just don't think it is. I have clothes, shoes, and accessories that have animal prints on them that I've had for years. Not only that, but I also feel like you see it in the spring and fall.

This fall is no different; however, there do seem to be some fun twists to animal prints. I'm talking about offshoots of animal prints to include prints you seldom see (think cow) and also prints of the animal themselves. Tyler Boe had some fun animal prints for fall. I liked the mixed print in this faux suede dress. It's wild and fun without being too over the top. And this soft velvet-like dress in a hedgehog print makes me happy. Yes - Those are hedgehogs.

Hedgehog, $224; Faux Suede, $208

Tyler Boe also had so many fun sweaters and tops, but these two are definitely my favorites! I love the bold tiger on the front. Mixed in with the other animal print, it's somewhat camouflaged. Another fun use of the whole animal is this adorable blouse with bulldogs on it. It's another one that just makes me smile.

Tiger, $156; Dog, $158

Wooden Ships sweaters are always a hit with our customers. I was so excited to see these two styles arrive just this week. Although it's not an animal print, per se, I think this Wild Thing sweater fits the mold. Then, of course, you can never go wrong with a skull. Skull and leopard together? I'm sold!
