Who Do You Love to Love?

Valentine's Day is for lovers...But who says it needs to be romantic love? While ruminating on the themes I wanted to touch upon for the holiday, I kept going back to the idea that Valentine's Day is very simply about love - no qualifiers. In my book, no one ever ruled that it must only apply to romantic partnerships. So, this year I challenged myself to think about the holiday more broadly as a celebration of the act of loving in whatever form that may take.In light of this, I'm thrilled to announce that from February 1 - February 14, we're running a "Who Do You Love to Love?" fundraiser for three amazing charities: One Love, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and Volunteer Alexandria. We chose these charities because they focus on developing loving, healthy relationships and communities. Here are the details:

  1. We pledge to donate 15 percent of all showroom sales between February 1 - February 14.
  2. When you buy something, you get to choose which of the three charities will receive the 15 percent proceeds from your purchase.
  3. At the end of the fundraiser, we'll match the total donation amount for the charity that raises the most money!

This means that if you're a fan of Big Brothers Big Sisters who, say, springs for those 18k diamond drops you've been eyeing since November, we would donate 15 percent of $2245 to that charity. "Your" $336.75 will be added to the Big Brother Big Sister donations and on February 14th if they win the most money, Alx&Co. will additionally match the total funds raised for them! Our entire showroom collection will be included in the promotion and yes, if you want something custom ordered, we'll include that too.*We are so excited to share this fundraiser with you and hope it sparks your own reframing of Valentine's Day as well. Let's celebrate the love in every relationship and donate to the organizations that cultivate a better community for everyone.*Custom design projects, our handmade bangles, and repair/restoration projects will not be included in the promotion.
