Why Knot Yacht!

New in town and on the Potomac, the Cedar Knoll brings us a new way to celebrate and enjoy a unique and luxury event: their vintage yachting luxury charter experience on the Why Knot!

Recently, I had an awesome invitation to experience the Why Knot yacht with some local friends. It’s not often I get to take the night off on a yacht, so I was thrilled to take advantage of the opportunity to “set sail” with one of our favorite local businesses. The Why Knot is the newest venture from the minds behind Cedar Knoll, presenting a luxury experience on a classic yacht right here in the DMV.

Before testing the waters this summer, Holden International Yachts has been in search of the perfect boat for a few years. Now, the vision has come to light, and the Why Knot is here! The owners have always been water lovers, so it made sense to bring the well-loved experience of Cedar Knoll to a luxury catered cruise on the water in the form of a private charter. Each trip is tailored to its guests, embarking on a dinner cruise to The Wharf, Old Town Alexandria, The Yards Marina, or National Harbor. Each booking is a private luxury experience. A trip could be a vessel for appetizers before dropping guests off for dinner at The Wharf, or maybe it’s a luxury happy hour experience to celebrate an anniversary or birthday with friends for a sunset sail. No matter the event, Why Knot is prepared to offer a truly unique trip.
