Why Tibi’s Fundamentals Are My Daily Uniform
It’s tough to keep up with all the content out there, but one thing I always try to watch is Tibi Style Class. I usually have to enlist my teenagers to help me get YouTube to show up on the flat screen so I can watch while walking on the treadmill—but even with the tech hurdles, it’s part of my weekly routine.
A few weeks ago, the episode focused on the latest Fundamentals drop, and it was one of the best I’ve seen. I wanted every single piece. Let’s be honest, I probably already have one of each in my closet. That’s the beauty of Fundamentals: they’re the “without fails,” as Tibi calls them—the core pieces you reach for on repeat. Whether I’m low on bandwidth and need to get dressed fast, or trying to ground something a little more adventurous, a Tibi fundamental is always what I grab to feel like myself.
I wish we had ordered every single piece from this drop, but we did get a fantastic selection. As I was sending links for the graphics, I realized this collection truly reflects “what I wear daily.”
Let’s talk pants. We received the Wilt Jogger, the Winslow in nylon, and the Scottie Jogger in tropical wool. I own all of these in different fabrics and colors. Aside from the Stella, these are what I consider the heart of Tibi’s pant collection.
Now, skirts. Tibi is the brand that makes even skirt skeptics fall in love. My all-time favorite is the Trouser Skirt, especially in tropical wool. We just got it in black. Sure, it’s too warm for right now, but come September, you won’t want to take it off. We also picked up the Slip Skirt and the Bubble Skirt—perfect for right now and easy to dress up or down.
We also added two new denim styles to the mix: the Mou Denim Cliff Jean and the Selvage Denim 5-Pocket Alec Jean in Classic Blue. These just “graduated” into the Fundamentals collection, and if Tibi denim has ever felt too voluminous for you, these might be the perfect place to start.
On top—literally—we brought in some great staples. The Max Blazer is in the same fabric as the Scottie Jogger, making it a breezy summer suiting option. My newest favorite? The Love Sleeve Crewneck in black and brown. It’s half t-shirt, half sweatshirt, the perfect in-between weight. I wear my red and navy ones constantly. And of course, the Charlie Shirt in black is back—one I have in multiple colors. I'm also loving the new cashmere t-shirt in blue.
Finally, for something dressier, the Shirred Neck Top in pink pairs perfectly with the Nylon Bubble Skirt. Worn together or separately, they’re great for events, travel, and steamy summer days.
Come check out all the latest arrivals at The Hive. We don’t expect Tibi to stay on the racks for long!
