Will You Be Our Galentine?

I know some people poo poo Valentine’s Day as a made-up holiday by Hallmark for the sake of selling more cards. Honestly, though, I love it. I love all holidays, big or small, and use every chance I get to dress up, send cards (yes, I still send snail mail), and give a present. In my house I decorate for almost every holiday, and birthdays are big too. Truthfully, does it really hurt to have one day a year where the focus is love? I think we need it more than ever. So, it should be no surprise to friends near and dear to my heart that I also love what’s become affectionately known as Galentine’s Day. It all started in a 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation when Leslie decided that February 13th would be the day to celebrate the platonic love she had with her lady friends. Galentine’s Day acknowledges the fact that friendships are an important part of our lives. I love my husband and kids and I feel so very lucky I’ve had this family unit of ours in the last year. However, my friendships with women have helped in a different way. I’m not quite sure where I’d be without them. All that being said, I do love to send my girlfriends presents, and this year I will drop off a few on friends’ doors since we can’t get together. A Galentines Zoom is also in the works. Some of my friends like jewelry... some like things that smell yummy... and some of them even love Hanky Panky underwear as much as I do. We have so many fun things in the store right now for the Galentines in your life.We are still going strong with our Bird Bag program in case you’d like anything brought to you. We are also happy to mail anything, anywhere!

“They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.” -Carrie Bradshaw
