Work to Weekend in Two Dresses
You know the old saying, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”? Well, that’s how I feel when I find literally any article of clothing that I love. I buy it in every color and I wear it all of the time. I just style it in different ways so that it feels fresh and new.We are sometimes drawn to clothing that looks really exciting via print, pattern, or color without considering how functional it would actually be in our wardrobe. Of course, it’s so much fun to look into your closet and see everything that’s light and bright, but what about the neutrals? You must know how important those pieces are?! I mean, they are the glue that holds a wardrobe together. They are the reason why we can work and rework an outfit to look one way or another. My point here is that neutrals get the short end of the stick. Especially when it comes to investing in them, but that seems a little backwards, don’t you think? If you wear neutrals like you’re supposed to (on a regular basis) they will wear more quickly, so why not invest in quality? One dress in particular comes to mind because I have been breezing by it for the last few weeks, but then I put Amy in it for our shoot last week and I thought to myself, “HELLO! This is perfect!” Take a look at this V-neck contrast stitch dress by Ecru, the brand that we love for work basics! Check out the dress on Amy, and then check out a few of the ways that you can work this into the rest of your wardrobe! The dress is simple, lined, and classic. You can’t go wrong.
