When it comes to what we write about for Stylebook, I typically keep our content on the women’s stores since our readers tend to be women. But this week I feel like it is the one chance we really have to talk about Yellow Jacket, our new-ish men’s store in Old Town. Father’s Day is the one day when I know women need to buy men’s clothes, and if you haven’t yet thought about Yellow Jacket for your dad, grandad, or husband, I hope you will.
It has been just over a year since we really opened our doors and I feel like we are finally hitting our stride. Spring is the first delivery in which we were able to fully chose the merchandise we wanted. We were late to the ordering game last fall and had to pick only from what was available. In some ways, it feels like this is our first real season as Yellow Jacket. We also have the most amazing manager, AJ, and a great team of young men ready to help.
When you come to Yellow Jacket, you’re going to find a wide array of ready-to-wear classics, jeans that fit, golf shirts, shorts, boxers, button-down shirts you can wear to work, and some elevated items from Sid Mashburn for special occasions. We opened Yellow Jacket to fill a need in Northern Virginia and we’re convinced once you check it out, you’ll agree it’s peerless in our area.
We decided since it was Father’s Day and what is typically the biggest shopping weekend for a men’s store we wanted to put our best foot forward and entice everyone to shop locally for all their gift-giving needs. We always do the 12 Days of Christmas; well we are doing the 4 Days of Father’s Day.
