You CAN Wear Denim Shorts
“I am just too old to wear shorts.” I hear it more times than not this time of year. Especially when people pick up a pair of cut-off denim shorts.
And look, I get it, there are plenty of shorts I won’t wear, and I know it can be intimidating. But I promise everyone is too hard on themselves. And nothing says summer more than a great pair of cut-off denim shorts. Nothing is better than hanging out after a day at the pool, lake, or beach in a pair of cut-offs. But they also can be dressed up and still be age-appropriate; I am obviously not talking about the ones where your bottom hangs out. We have pairs that are a bit longer, so you feel comfortable, and they do not look like you took your shorts from the closet of your teenage daughter. To prove our point that age shouldn’t stop you, we asked Kelly (you will recognize her from the stores) to model for us.
I am not sure if you are familiar with Kelly Wearstler, the famous interior designer, but our Kelly is a dead ringer for her. Kelly Wearstler has this cool west coast vibe and this hair that we all wish we had. Well, so does our Kelly. I thought she was the perfect person to model the jean shorts because she has that California cool style.
She looks so great in all the photos, and she is in looks that are dressed up or down. I mean, the Smythe blazer look is perfect for dinner out on a warm night.
