AGL Trunk Show: The Biggest Trunk Show of the Year at The Shoe Hive

There’s a famous old sports quote: “Dance with the one what brung ya.” Okay, maybe not everyone remembers that, but all you Texas Longhorn fans know exactly what I am talking about. There have also been countless country songs with a similar title and many politicians have embraced the term.Well, this is how I feel about the brand Attilio Giusti Leombruni, now known as AGL. It is the one brand that brought me. If it weren’t for this brand, I literally do not think we would still have The Shoe Hive and then of course, we wouldn’t have The Hive.In a way, we have evolved together. The Shoe Hive was one of the first two stores in the entire United States to carry this storied old European line and the other store has since closed. At first, we stocked our shelves with their ballet flat and unparalleled driving moccasin. We could not keep them in. Now we still carry their flats, but we have expanded our selection as they expanded their offerings. When the three sisters took over, they injected their viewpoint and style into the business. A three-generation company based in Montegranaro (where I visited last summer) their shoes remain comfortable, elegant, and feminine just like their grandfather sought out to do when he started the company. But now, they have a little more - how should I phrase this - flair.I mean even GOOP carries them now. I am proud I beat Gwyneth to this brand. I actually found a quote from an interview with Goop that I think sums up their evolution perfectly.

“We want to keep the tradition, while being contemporary. It’s our rule to maintain the heritage, keep it alive, and continue evolving toward the future. We are so proud of our “Made in Italy” skills, but it’s also important to go with the flow of modernity and technology.”

Since this brand is so meaningful and important to our business, it only makes sense that they have become the biggest trunk show of the year at The Shoe Hive. This year we are doing things a little differently. They have over 20 styles to choose from that they will ship from Italy the very next week. We will have our spring selection available as well, which is our largest selection ever: we have 12 styles to pick from. You can walk out with a style we stock or have one of the trunk show styles in just a few weeks. Our lovely representative from AGL will also be in town Thursday and Friday to answer all your fit and style questions. So, stop in starting Thursday, March 12 (we will be open until 8pm) to Sunday, March 15 and stock up on all your AGL for spring. Click below to see all the looks:
