Adding This ONE Food Will Help You Lose Bloat And Weight

What if you could fix your feelings of bloat, lack of energy, and just walking around with unwanted pounds by eating more protein?

The foods we eat impact how we feel, our weight, and our risk of chronic diseases. A diet that is low in protein and other essential macronutrients, like carbohydrates and fats, affects our moods, hormones, inflammation, and really our overall health.

If you're looking to feel better, and possibly see the results you want in your waistline, protein is going to be your new best friend. Here's why…

Protein is incredibly satiating which means your body knows it’s getting what it needs. You’ll be less likely to binge on foods that aren’t as nourishing and you won’t feel cravings shortly after – which is a win-win.

Better yet, it’s an essential nutrient that your body needs to build and repair muscle. And when you have more muscle mass, your metabolism kicks into high gear, which means you burn more calories even when you're at rest.

Here are a few more reasons to add protein to your fueling plan, besides weight loss:

  1. Protein helps slow down the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream, which can prevent type 2 diabetes.

  2. Hitting your protein baselines can help prevent bone loss and reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

  3. Protein is used to make antibodies, which help your body fight off infections and illnesses.

  4. Proteins are also important to produce neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that help transmit signals in the brain and can affect mood, memory, and cognition.

Choosing foods high in protein can be one of the best methods for weight loss and a highly functioning body. A high protein intake reduces appetite and changes several weight-regulating hormones. Protein can help you lose weight and belly fat by increasing your appetite-quelling hormones and decreasing the hunger hormone, ghrelin.

This leads to a major reduction in hunger and is the main reason protein helps you lose weight. It can make you eat fewer calories automatically while feeling fuller than if you were to eat more of another food group!

I teach my concierge small group members the days of plain salad and a breast of chicken are over – unless the chicken amounts to more protein than the carbs in the lettuce.

And as unlikely as it seems, eating more foods with higher protein will actually slim your waistline and help you lose weight!

Chances are, even if you think you’re eating enough protein, you’re probably not. There’s a simple calculation I teach in my Concierge Small Group Wellness sessions! We are opening new virtual groups in the Fall!
