At the Hive: Clare V.

If I have learned one thing over the last few years, it’s that I always need to listen to what Annette and Shannon tell me to carry. First, it was Freda Salvador because of Shannon, along with our newest candle line, Votive. This spring, Ganni will return, thanks to encouragement from both of them. Annette also brought us MZ Wallace and Claus Porto. And she has a long list of lines we are looking at next market.

While we were at the last market Annette strongly encouraged me to bring Clare V. clothes and accessories, beyond just purses to the stores. The purses have been a hit but we pulled back from carrying the clothes a few years back. Let’s just say since their return has been a hit – they’re flying off the shelves along with the hats and wallets. We’ve also expanded our selection of purses.

This holiday season proved Annette was right about Clare V. Everyone loves it – especially the hats! Check out our latest arrivals; we’ll be bringing in new styles every month:

And this is is coming soon:

Owner | The Hive and The Shoe Hive

I spent the first part of my career as a copywriter who helped elected officials brag about their support for entrepreneurs. Then I decided to get off the printed page and do it myself. The Shoe Hive made a splash on the fashion scene in Washington, and was named the region’s best shoe store in its first year. Fourteen years later, I have tripled the store’s size and also opened a sister store, The Hive.  At The Hive, we offer clothing lines that are sophisticated and approachable like Rag & Bone, Tibi, Raquel Allegra, Ulla Johnson and Veronica Beard. We have tried to fill our racks with clothing you will want to wear all the time, elevated basics that are worth the investment.
